Valentine’s Day is an awesome excuse for eating way too much chocolate and stepping up your style game.  While you may be stressing about a gift, we’d like to focus on the outfit .No matter what your plans are, we have concocted some perfect outfit ideas for any kind of date. Whether you are in-between relationships or married, check out some outfit ideas to get you started for every kind of Valentine's Daydate.

Night out

Whether it’s a Candle lit dinner or you are heading out to a fancy restaurant, there are no blurred lines on what to wear. Given that you’ve opted for the most traditional type of Valentine’s date, keep your look as classic as possible. Gents, you can rock up in a suit in navy, light grey, black or dark blue. Ladies, you want your man to keep his eyes on you right?  Then show off some shape in a figure-flattering wrap-dress or body con dress that is elegant and comfortable. Don’t be too worried about the colour, just because its Valentine’s it doesn't necessarily mean your outfit is supposed to be red. Still uncertain? Then just rock your little black dress (LBD) and it will work the magic. Complete your look with some natural looking make-up to seal that classy and elegant glam.

Indoors

Ever been invited to a chilled date night? Wear something comfortable that expresses your personality. This is where your joggers, ripped denims and tee-shirt dresses come in handy. If you are considering making valentines night laid back by spending it at home, you can also lounge in your pyjamas. This outfit idea even works great if you are staying at home with your partner - no need to try too hard to impress. Enjoy the night by playing fun board games or indulge in a movie or series marathon. This is the perfect and special time to bond with your loved one.

Lunch date
Who says you have to wait for the sunset to go on a date. If you have a date planned midweek or during   an office break you can wear something that will allow you to transition from a work look to a fun lunch date. Wear a shirt dress, elevated with strappy heels, pair it with a clutch and statement hoop earrings and you are good to go. For the gents, there is no need to worry (ungakhathazeki) we have your back. Add a nice blazer, dress pants or chinos and make sure you have a pair of black or brown dress shoes, or a nice pair of clean sneakers. You are not completely dressed until you put on your favourite fragrance, just ensure you don't go overboard with it.

Movie date
This is the only time you can’t argue about which movie to watch. A romcom (romantic comedy) is a must watch in the month of love. Go for a well put together casual look. There is a no better way to be comfortable than wearing your favourite pair of leggings, quirky statement T-shirt. You can add a denim jacket or duster as a layer option. If you feel too casual, go for the skater dress and a pair of clean white sneakers or flat sandals. Remember when you are wearing open shoes, ensure your nail polish is fresh and not chipped. Amp up the outfit with a pair of fancy earrings and a tot handbag. Gents, let’s do denims and tees for the movie date – and you can add a blazer to give you an edge.

Wow your date in these great outfit ideas. Happy Valentines.
